Thankful for my family and my friends, and for all the blessings this year.
...I was talking about these lottery dreams with friends of mine and decided to write them down, and this is what my blog is about.
Every night it's a little different, and that fascinates me. What would your dreams be? I love this exercise!

Pretty things
One of the funnest things for me to imagine is shopping for the home. I love to nest and create a cozy living space.
I've spent many hours virtually shopping at Neiman Marcus and have a whole house full of beautiful and unique things.
I often wonder how people with money can have no taste. Or how someone with a beautiful sports car can't drive the fucking thing. So not fair!
Let me win the lottery Oh Lord, and I will make you proud. I have this affliction that has followed me my whole life. I can pick out the most expensive shoe, gloves, sofa, whatever. I just have good taste I guess. Of course in my real life this affliction is a headache, because I have no money to buy these things...but if I did....Oh Lord!

Christmas Shopping in the Big Apple!

Well my giving will begin after I have an investment plan that lets me live off the interest I've made.
OK, so back to giving...I want to make a trip of it for sure. NYC in the height of Christmas lights and sales.
I'm thinking right after Thanksgiving so I have time to ship it all home to be wrapped in time for the big day.
I want to get friends and family super unique things that I've never seen before, but things that aren't too over the top.
list of awesomeness: cool sunglasses, bracelets, headbands, fancy socks, earrings, purses, watches, jackets, fuzzy slippers!

salon dreams

Nov. 4, 2010
Lottery Dreams:
Tonight I dream of owning my own store. Something smart and clean and beautiful. Free haircuts and styles for anyone in need.
I envision a high end feel, with campaigns in Seattle met mag, and 425 mag. Full page ads in the newspaper and local papers too.
Clientele can pay if they want to, but it goes to charity.
I pay my staff well through private donations. And we hold annual Christmas parties and toy drives too.
Car: Honda CRV or Subaru Forester
Toys: Pink mixer, ice cream machine

Lottery Dreams:
Been thinking I'd want a second house somewhere. Maybe Monterey.
Somewhere where I can have friends look in on it or stay there when I'm not there.
Oh, but then I'd have to worry about heat bills and phone bills and other stuff when I'm not there...
On second thought, maybe just rent a house when I'm there...ahh, that's better.
Then I could do a different place every time. Pebble Beach, Santa Cruz, Carmel Valley...awesome!

What I'd do with my time:

toys: Nu Face, Clairsonic both pink!

Thinking Happy Thoughts
When I was little I used to have a hard time going to sleep. I'd worry about my parents, or school, or why I was different than the other kids and had to live in a trailer...on a dead end road...in the woods.
I had a little room of my own, very little. It fit a bed and a small desk and that was it.
I had Strawberry Shortcake sheets and pillowcase on my humble little bed, and one night while worrying about my life and what would become of me...I decided to dream of Strawberry Shortcake Land.
I dreamed I lived there and had lots of friends and that I smelled like strawberries. I dreamed of rainbows and blue skies. I dreamed of a place far different from my reality. And it soothed me. It made me smile as I drifted off to sleep. And it made life bearable in that musty, cigarette smoke filled single wide trailer, on a dead end road in the woods.
Now life is better. I have mostly let go of my childhood let-downs and have other worries, grown up kinds. Like how do I pay for this or that? And how do I make more money. And I have the worries every parent has as well, like wanting better for my kid than I had.
So far so good though... I'm not living in a trailer!
But just like when I was little I like to think happy thoughts before bed. I like to think of a world better than mine. A place where I have everything beautiful and go places I've only seen on TV.
I like to think I've won the lottery and what would I do? Who would I help? And who would I not tell? LOL
This self soothing technique is quite helpful when falling asleep, and every night it's different.
I was talking about these lottery dreams with friends of mine and decided to write them down, and this is what my blog is about.
